Many design principles which are modern in conception work well across stylistic borders.  Open plan, light filled living spaces and a seamless interweaving of the interior and exterior areas are central elements to this design scheme.  Meanwhile, a balance to the modernism of the airy spaces is achieved with smaller and more intimate areas for private use.  The ultimate intent here, as with all out projects was to create spaces that are beautiful, practical and logical while conveying a certain ease and level of comfort that is important to the California lifestyle.
